HEREFORDSHIRE residents are being urged to give their views on a scheme to regenerate the northern edge of Hereford city centre.
The Edgar Street Grid (ESG) plans to transform 43 hectares of land, improving housing, shopping and leisure facilities both within the city and it's surrounding area.
A new document has been drawn up by Hereford Council's unitary development plan, the Edgar Street Grid design framework supplementary document, which will guide future developments on ESG and help in the preparation of a more detailed master plan for the area. It will be available for the public to view from May 24 until Friday July 6, with a seminar and discussion of the document being held at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts on Wednesday, May 30 from 10am until 12.15pm.
A public exhibition in the Maylord Shopping Centre between June 4 and 9 will give the public chance to meet planning officers, who will be on hand to answer any questions.
Andrew Ashcroft, head of planning services, said: "I am urging all county residents to get involved in this consultation, it is an important time for the future of the northern part of the city, and whatever people's views are on it, we want to hear them."
