A WOMAN was taken to hospital after her car ended up in a ditch close to a well-known county pub.
The 51-year-old's car and a lorry were in collision outside the Tarrington Arms on the A438 at Tarrington on Tuesday morning.
"The collision caused the car to spin and it ended up with the rear end in the ditch and the front end still on the road," said Ambulance Service Acting Area Manager, Mark Tuomey.
"Due to the damage, we asked the fire service to remove parts of the driver's side so that we could gain access to the woman," he said.
"She was then taken to Hereford County Hospital."
X-rays at the hospital showed that she had not broken any bones but had severe bruising.
