A HEREFORDSHIRE woman is hoping her dog will awarded the title of Supadog' for the second year in a row, when they compete in the world's largest dog agility show this weekend.

Julia Weeks of Tillington and working sheepdog Whistle beat hundreds of other dogs last year to be crowned category champions at the Supadog Agility Show.

This year it is the turn of Julia's husband Brian to run with Whistle, leaving Julia free to compete with the couple's other dogs.

Julia said: "Last year was the first major title we won together, and to do it at the biggest show of it's kind was just fantastic. Whistle has had a great year since then and continues to perform strongly. She has a good record at the Supadog Show having come second a couple of years ago, so I'm confident she'll do well again this year".

Both Julia and Brian have over 20 years of experience as handlers and spend most of their summer weekends travelling up and down the country, taking their dogs to agility events.

The week-long show will take place at Hop Farm in Tonbridge, Kent, and starts on May 26, with the finals taking place on June 1.
