MAGISTRATES aborted an ASBO case against a dog owner accused of allowing dozens of rottweilers to roam around his home.

Charles Gutkind, of Cockyard Farm, Rushall, near Ledbury, is also accused of making hundreds of abusive calls to the Leominster offices of his former solicitor.

The case was stopped soon after opening at Hereford Magistrates Court on Tuesday because of administrative issues. It will start again later next month.

A temporary ASBO order regulating Mr Gutkind's conduct and the control of his dogs was imposed until the new hearing takes place.

Mr Gutkind, aged 46, is contesting the conditions of the full ASBO sought by Herefordshire Police.
