SIGNED books and letters written by one of Britain's most famous novelists are on sale at a Hay-on-Wye bookshop.
Fourteen of Daphne du Maurier's most famous works, including Rebecca and Jamaica Inn, are signed and on sale at Addyman Books.
The collection also features Daphne's own copy of Brideshead Revisited, photographs taken with her children, a four-page letter written by her and a number of Christmas cards.
They are being sold as one set with no offers accepted for individual books or cards. The guide price for the collection is around £20,000.
"It's a very exciting collection," said Anne Brichto, of Addyman Books.
"It really is a tangible link to such an interesting lady because the items are very personal."
The Du Maurier collection came to Anne's attention when Aidan Everett, a regular visitor to Addyman, mentioned that his great aunt, Margaret Eglesfield, was nanny to Du Maurier's children for around 13 years.
During that time, Daphne became good friends with Margaret and presented her with many signed first editions of her work.
When Margaret died many years ago, the collection passed into the hands of her great nephew, who has now asked Anne and husband Derek to handle the sale.
The news comes just days after fans marked the centenary of Daphne's birth in her hometown of Fowey, Cornwall.
