Weobley and District Agricultural Improvement Society will have have one eye on the past and another on the future when it holds its centenary ploughing match in September at Throne Farm, Weobley, the venue of their very first match.
And to mark the occasion, the society wants to develop the theme of Celebrating the Past, Embracing the Future'.
"We are busy planning a series of attractions for the actual day of the ploughing match with the aim of giving the public an enjoyable day out in the countryside and showing them what's great about British agriculture," says Jo Ware, ladies committee secretary and a partner in the farming business at Throne Farm.
"We are also appealing for memorabilia, photographs or recollections of previous events that may be used to form a part of an exhibition at the show, and of help or ideas.
"We are certain September 15 will be a date worth noting in the diary ."
