THIS half-term holiday, Queen Elizabeth 1 is throwing down the gauntlet to young visitors to Goodrich Castle to help her find eight of her knights and squires to invite them to join her for a banquet.
The Knights' Trail feature four model knights and four squires hidden in and around the castle and its grounds to be searched for by small visitors.
The Knights' Trail, which runs from Saturday to Sunday, June 3, is one of a series of events taking place at the castle during the summer. The book also contains many pages of activity ideas for outdoor adventures.
Where Wild Things Play, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, draws on the knowledge and success of several years of pioneering environmental play at Herefordshire Nature Trust and is set to an invaluable companion throughout the long summer ahead.
Collect a free copy of the booklet from Herefordshire Nature Trust, Ledbury Road, Tupsley or from tourist information centres and libraries.
