PUPILS from the Bishop of Hereford Bluecoat School won the regional heat of an outdoor adventure competition.
The team beat another from Bishops, as well as teams from Wyebridge Sports College and Lady Hawkins' School, Kington, when they took part in the heat of the Kielder Challenge, an annual event aimed at integrating children with and without disabilities.
The event, organised by outdoor access charity Fieldfare Trust and HSBC in the community, gets entrants to work together on problem-solving games, with points being awarded for teamwork and integration between team members.
The youngsters, aged 13 to 16, must now wait to see whether they have won one of only 12 places at the grand final, which takes place in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, September 19 to 23.
