A NATIONAL charity is giving the Herefordshire public a chance to see a film showcasing the work it does with elderly and terminally ill people and their pets.
The Cinnamon Trust is the only charity in the UK which specialises in working with elderly and terminally ill pet owners. Volunteers give practical help when day to day care poses a problem, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that if their pet outlives them, they will be taken either to one of two purpose built sanctuaries or to one of hundreds of foster homes around the country.
The trust will be showing it's new DVD in different locations round the country, including the Age Concern Centre in West Street, Leominster on June 11 between 10am and 1pm.
The event is part of National Volunteer Week and will raise the profile of the charity as well as helping in the recruitment of new volunteers.
Anyone interested in helping can ring Moira Butler during office hours on 01736 757900 or email moira@cinnamon.org.uk
