QUIZ enthusiasts from the local area congregated at the Woolhope Village Hall last Saturday evening for the annual Woolhope Cricket Club quiz night.
It was a cold evening but locals and supporters came along and enjoyed a bread and cheese supper along with their favourite tipple.
Questions were suitably taxing and topics covered included film and television, pop music, British Isles and sport.
The team, Four Blind Mice - Plus Two emerged victors despite their protests that they were merely 'amateur quizzers'.
Club chairman Adrian Thomas presented the team with the £75 cash winners prize after the event and raffle prizes were drawn.
In an act of generosity the winners donated their prize money back to the club which was greatly appreciated by the committee.
The Woolhope Cricket Club Committee are now looking forward to their next fundraising event in aid of the club, St Michael's Hospice and Riding For The Disabled, which will be a barn dance to be held on July 23 of this year.
