A MAN has been killed after being involved in a two-car collision on the Welsh border.
Daniel Hughes, aged 25 from Rhayader, died following an accident on the A470 between Doldowlodd and Rhayader, when a blue Vauxhall Astra and a silver Peugeot 206 were in collision.
He was taken to Hereford County Hospital following the collision just after 7pm last Friday but later died of his injuries.
In a statement his family said: "Daniel was a young man who lived and loved life to the full.
"He was brought up in Rhayader, attending the local primary school. He was a very fit and active individual who regularly played rugby. He also loved mountain biking.
"His family and friends are devastated by the loss of a wonderful son, brother, uncle and devoted boyfriend to Emma but know that he died loving life."
Police are keen to speak with the driver of a caravan and a red vehicle that are believed to have been in the area at the time of the collision.
