PUPILS from a county primary school have enjoyed an educational trip to the Brockhampton Estate.
The children, from nearby Brockhampton Primary School in Bringsty, were given a guided tour by the estate's new learning and interpretation officer Rachel Mayson.
"The pupils had a really enjoyable trip," said Rachel. "They were able to take part in a woodland walk and a mini-beast hunt as well as learning about the agricultural land that surrounds Brockhampton."
Schools are frequent visitors to the estate, which is owned by the National Trust, with pupils' geography, history and science skills being enhanced. An arts partnership with local schools is also being set up.
Adults are also encouraged to become involved with events, which include bug hunts, bat walks and re-enactment weekends.
For the less adventurous, there are guided walks, wooden sculptures and a tea room to enjoy.
