POLICE are investigating a case of child neglect in Hereford.
Officers were made aware of the incident – which occurred at a property in Bobblestock – on Thursday, March 17.
Officers said they have spoken to those involved and are continuing to investigate.
Herefordshire Council’s Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) was also made aware of the child being left alone in the city and ensured that action was taken on the same day.
The council would not comment on the age of the child but did say the youngster was not three as had been speculated.
A spokesperson was also unable to confirm how long the child was left alone but stated it was "not for two days".
