POLICE in Ledbury have launched a new scheme to tackle anti-social behaviour and criminal damage offences.
Operation Kyoto has seen the town's Local Policing Team boosted with four additional Community Support Officers and members of the Special Constabulary to increase the number of foot patrols during evenings and other peak' times.
In the first week of the initiative, one man has been arrested and charged for public order offences and several others have been given fixed penalty notices for a range of offences including the use of foul and abusive language, anti-social driving and urinating or spitting in the street
