A NEW build in St Weonards will be fitted with a state-of-the-art sustainable low carbon flooring.
Fishpool Farm will take delivery this week of a TECHNOpor glass foam aggregate, which will be laid and compacted as part of the new build.
It is manufactured from 100 percent waste glass and is manufactured using hydro-electric power.
Jurgen Baas, commercial director of DREIECK Ltd, said: "The significance of this project can not be overstated.
"The UK market for glass foam aggregates, thus far, has been dominated by renovations, extensions and heritage projects (Wakefield Cathedral and more locally, St Andrew's Church in Churchdown) - this will be the first major new build project in the UK to be built using a glass foam aggregate to form the floor slab."
Mr and Mrs Mann are building the replacement dwelling off Fishpool Lane.
