SUMMERTIME and the listening is easy at The Courtyard's Saturday Cafe, where the June line-up has just been released.
The month kicks off on Saturday, with a visit from regular favourites the Melody Makers. Fine jazz pianist Wendy Mantle leads her line-up of Roy Johnson, Bill Lewis and George Cummins, all topped off with the voice of Janey Williams.
Saturday, June 9, brings some classic rock and pop covers, from the Floyd Earl Band. Bass guitarist and vocalist Floyd is joined by Graham Smith and Matty McMatty.
On Saturday, June 16, there's a session from Nathan and Quinn, a fine acoustic guitar duo who always enthral with their eclectic mix of jazz, folk, blues and country.
June 23 sees a return visit from jazz pianist Lynn Thomas and his trio and the month rounds off on Saturday, June 30, with the Neil Humphris Trio.
Bass guitarist Neil is joined by Steve Browning and Mike Cypher, for some cool jazz, blues and funk.
This year, there will be no sessions during July or August and gigs will resume in mid-September.
All sessions run from noon to 2pm and admission is free.
