ON May 1, Sollers Hope will host their annual Rogation Sunday dog show, fete and duck race in the valley adjacent to the church.
This year the dog show has a new addition to the sought-after 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize rosettes, with a new Best in Show cup for the winner. The day's celebrations start at 11.15am with an outdoor service, which includes blessing of pets.
At noon the fete and dog show commence. There is food and fun for all the family; hot pork rolls, sandwiches, cakes, plants and books on sale, and lots of traditional fun including coconut shy, tombola, skittles and hoopla.
The afternoon concludes with the ever-popular Sollers Hope duck race.
Well signed off the B4224 (Hereford to Ross-on-Wye), with plenty of free parking, this is a traditional family day out in the country.
Do come and join us, and bring along your four legged friends!
