A LARGE quantity of cash has been stolen after a burglary at a Hay-on-Wye restaurant.

Thieves broke into The Granary restaurant on Broad Street between 1am and 8am last Sunday morning (3rd).

Police say a man was acting suspiciously in the area during the early hours of Sunday.

He is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, with short straight ginger hair and stubbled face. He is of thin to medium build, average height and was wearing a waist length denim jacket and denim jeans.
