A MAN has been arrested in connection with an assault which happened in Tupsley, Hereford.
The assault is alleged to have taken place on Dormington Drive at 3.20pm on Sunday, April 3 when the suspect and the victim, a man in his 80s, were involved in a verbal altercation outside a property.
Another victim, a woman in her 50s, left her home to see what was happening and the offender approached the woman, grabbing her by the wrist and twisting it.
Police said the male victim then attempted to push the other man away from his daughter before his hand was pushed and he fell to the floor.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Officers are keen to trace a man and a woman walking in the area around the time of the incident.
They came across to assist the elderly man from the floor so are likely to have witnessed the incident.
A 50 year-old man from Hereford has been arrested on suspicion of common assault and is on bail until May 11.
Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
