A MAN must stay out of Hereford for the next six months after admitting assaulting his former partner.
Matthew Lothian, originally from Pontrilas but who now lives in Abergavenny, admitted two charges of assault on Jodie Phillips.
Prosecutor Mark Soper said the offences happened after Lothian, 32, became upset because his dog had run away.
Philip Cornell, defending, said his client has chronic mental health issues who, after the breakdown of his relationship with the victim, is now living with his family.
He was given an 18-month community order, fined £100 and given an order preventing him from entering Hereford for the next six months, as that's where the victim lives.
