BUSINESSES and individuals in Herefordshire will be able to network with other firms in the county at a Ross business club's duck herding event later this month.
The Ross-on-Wye Business Lunch Club has joined forces with Katie Dobson, owner of Live Life Events and Nutty Networking to organise a summer networking social which will involve making new contacts and having fun while duck herding.
Ex-national sheepdog trials champion Meirion Owen has traded in his sheep for ducks, and will show guests how to use his pro dogs to navigate the ducks around a novelty obstacle course of tunnels, ladders and slides and back to their pen. Once they have learned the basic commands, guests will have the chance to manoeuvre the ducks to score points for teams, which will be grouped in complimentary businesses to help form new alliances.
The event will be held on Thursday, June 14 at Pencraig Court Hotel from 6pm until 9pm. A buffet dinner is included in the £20 ticket, with all proceeds going to the Noah's Ark Trust.
To book a place call Katie on 01989 770101, alternatively there may be spaces on the following event, flying birds of prey during an Falconry experience on the June 20.
