THE 2007 point-to-point season has been a mixed bag for many local trainers, but for Kington-based Jane Lloyd it has been a dream come true.

Mister Falcon, the family horse that she owns and trains, was never out of the frame and has earned the Wales & Border Counties Leading Horse award by one point from Barbara Gibbons' consistent gelding Magicien.

Mister Falcon was partnered by Imogen Bundle' Pickard in all his races, enabling her to deservedly take both the local Lady Rider's championship, and the Novice Lady's title.

Adie Brown topped the table for the Men's Championship with an exceptionally high strike rate, while the spirited battle for the Men's Novice title resulted in a three-way tie between Ray Carey, Richard Spencer and Robert Kirk.

The Veteran Rider's plate was won yet again by Bringsty-based Ray Rogers, who recently received a memento for having whipped in to the North Herefordshire Hunt for 25 years.

The awards will be presented at the The Three Counties Hotel, Belmont on June 22, and tickets are available from Stella Havard on 07876 553641.
