SOME holiday shopping with a difference will be on show at the forthcoming Three Counties Show - and there's very little chance of finding it in duty free.

Most tourists opt for cigarettes and alcohol, but ivory carvings, zebra skins and a dwarf crocodile handbag are some of the items that haven't made it through the customs gate.

These goods and a toy sheep stuffed with drugs have been intercepted by Customs officers and will be on display at their exhibition at the show in Malvern HM Revenues & Customs officers (HMRC) will be on hand to explain what tourists can purchase abroad, and how much cigarettes and alcohol they can bring back into the country.

But according to Exhibitions Officer, Gail Jacobs, visitors can quiz staff on a wide range of tax issues and much more at the show.

"We hope visitors to the show will find it interesting to learn more about our work and our success in fighting organised crime such as drug, alcohol and cigarette smuggling, illegal importations, money laundering and tax fraud," said Ms Jacobs.

The HMRC stand can be found on stand 304 on the corner of Avenue E and Row 4.
