ONLY Fools and Horses favourites Boycie and Marlene launched the Macmillan Fun Run last weekend which raised funds for the Charles Renton Unit Appeal.
Actors John Challis and his on-screen wife Sue Holderness took time off from filming their TV show Green Green Grass to open the race and to meet some of the fundraisers.
The event was organised by Lynn Perrott and Emma Strangward, with two walks of different lengths, 4.7 miles for families, children and dogs and 10.2 miles for the more ambitious participants.
Lynn said: "It went really well. It was very hot but everybody really enjoyed it. At the moment we're not sure how much we raised but hopefully it will be more than £10,000."
The Kingsland walks have already raised £33,000 for the appeal and organisers are hoping that this event will push up their total contribution to almost £50,000.
