TWENTY-six parents at a Herefordshire primary school combined their efforts to each run one mile of a marathon.
St Francis Xavier Primary School PTA organised the Mini Marathon' to raise funds for new sports and play equipment for the school. Mums, dads and carers ran, jogged and walked 26 miles and 385 yards between them, and collected sponsorship from friends and family.
Not only did the event successfully raise money but the children seemed to enjoy it too, and learned how much fun sport can be.
The Mini Marathon was sponsored by Oakwrights who provided t-shirts to participants to reward their efforts and commemorate the day.
