Dance teacher Jenny Evans, from Shobdon, would have been proud of the way her family are carrying out her wishes.
Jenny (pictured) died from ovarian cancer just before Christmas, aged 65.
One of her last requests was that her family should continue to raise funds for the Macmillan Renton Cancer Unit at the County Hospital.
In February, the family held a memorial dance and many people she had taught to dance in Herefordshire supported the event to raise £7,000.
Now they are planning a Jenny Evans Summer Ball at Hereford Shirehall on Saturday, July 21, to boost the fund and are asking dancers to wear pink and white or black and white. Tickets are £6 and people can take their own refreshments.
"Don't worry if you can't dance, everyone is welcome, we'll show you what to do, all you need is a little enthusiasm and be looking for a little fun," said her husband Mike Evans and daughter Trina Elkington.
Tickets are available on 01568 708 540 or 07973 674560.
