People in Herefordshire over the age of 40 are being urged to get their eyes tested for glaucoma.
The disease can lead to blindness, but if diagnosed early enough, can be treated and eyesight saved to a large degree.
The International Glaucoma Association is making the appeal to the public to mark Glaucoma Awareness Week, which runs until June 17.
It recommends those over 40 to book in to an optician or optometrist and have a simple, speedy and painless test.
