TWO world-famous musical groups will play a brand new venue, Presteigne's Sheep Music Dome, this weekend.

This stunning white canvas and aluminium geodesic, built by Geoff Garratt at Geodomes in Hay, has room for 300 people and can be erected almost anywhere.

For the upcoming weekend, its location will be one of the elegant grass spaces on The Presteigne Industrial Estate. Friday's concert will feature the world's finest gypsy jazz guitar player Angello Debarre.

This extraordinary musician with his all-star quartet, including Britain's best young fiddle player Christian Garrick, is returning to Presteigne by public demand after their acclaimed sell-out concert last year.

On Saturday evening, T and Latouche will be at the Dome. Reggae lovers who mourned the passing of Edward II will be delighted to know this group features four of the original members of that band including singer T Carthy and bass player Glen Latouche.

Tickets available from The Judge's Lodging, Presteigne, on 01544 260650.
