HEREFORDSHIRE'S wackiest wedding of the year featured cross-dressing, trousers held up with binder twine and a Vicar of Dibley-style church choir.
The English upper classes rallied behind the posh bride Titania (Cadbury's worker Adrian Jones in drag) when she married Taff Jones, a working class lad from rural Wales (Ms Beverley Jenkins).
While the bride arrived in style in a sleek Jaguar, the groom and his colourful rural kin turned up in an ancient Land Rover.
Characters in the ensuing ceremony included one bridesmaid' sporting a beard and another maid with a moustache.
Many of the 130 wedding guests in outrageous hats looked distinctly dodgy.
Orleton's mock wedding also featured a hallelujah preacher from deepest Alabama, feasting, dancing and speeches riddled with risqué jokes. And the fun went on until 2am.
"Only a village could do this," said Bev Jenkins, of OGGLE (Orleton Group Giving Live Entertainment). "Orleton is a very close-knit community and it was as if a real wedding had taken place. It was all very politically incorrect and everyone loved it - people will be talking about it for years to come."
Wedding guests' paid £15 a ticket to take part in the event and money raised will help to pay for a £2,500 state-of-the art sound system at the village hall.
