CANCER Research UK has been forced to cancel the second race at 3pm at this year's Hereford Race for Life.
The event has been running since 2003 and proved extremely popular, with a second race added this year.
However, it became apparent that fewer than 500 women were likely to take part in the afternoon race, so to be cost effective, it has been cancelled and participants have been offered the chance to transfer to the 11am race, saving significant funds.
The charity now hopes women who registered for the 3pm race will join the earlier run at the Racecourse at 11am on Sunday, July 15.
