THE excitement is building among thousands of Hereford's Harry Potter fans as they count down to the launch of the seventh and final book.
To keep them happy while they wait, The Courtyard currently has a little bit of alternative Potter magic on offer in the form of a brilliantly funny family show celebrating the Potter phenomenon.
Until Saturday, just four weeks before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows hits the shelves, wonderful comic duo Dan and Jeff (Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner) give Potter the Reduced Shakespeare Company treatment in Potted Potter The Unauthorised Harry Experience - A Parody by Dan and Jeff - a fast, furious, funny race through the first six of Rowling's series.
"An incredibly funny and deft deconstruction of the story so far," said The Guardian.
The comedy duo hit on the Potted Potter concept when they were asked to create a five-minute performance for a London bookshop to launch the sixth Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Appearances on Richard and Judy and Blue Peter followed, inspiring them to create an hour-long version for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it was a sell-out.
