POLICE are investigating an assault on two men as they walked along the Great Western Way in Hereford on Saturday June 16.

The men were walking towards the river bridge at around 10.15pm when they were assaulted by a group of around 10 males.

Both victims suffered cuts and bruising as a result of the attack, and one of the victims had a black Fila rucksack taken from him before they made their escape.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault and are also keen to recover the rucksack.
