A PURSE was taken from an 85-year-old woman as she shopped in Leominster town centre on Saturday June 24.
The victim was spending her birthday money in Boots in Corn Square at around midday when her purse was taken.
The theft caused a great deal of distress to the victim who lost irreplaceable family photos as well as money.
Police want to trace a young woman seen in the store at the same time. She is described as aged around 20 to 30 and has long hair. She was wearing a white top and blue jeans and carrying a shoulder bag.
