A MAN died this morning following an accident involving a tractor tyre.
Paramedics were called out to Long Lane in Peterchurch at 10.50am after receiving reports that a man had been crushed by a forklift truck.
A Rapid Response vehicle, BASICS Doctor, ambulance crew and the County Air Ambulance were all on scene for an hour in a desperate attempt to treat the man who was found collapsed against a large tractor tyre.
The man, who was believed to be 66, had sustained serious injuries and despite the efforts of the medical team, was confirmed dead in the Golden Valley village.
