A MUM has hit out at Topshop for using 'skeletal' mannequins in their shop window in Hereford.
Zoe Mason, from the south Herefordshire village, Kingsthorne, was alerted to the ultra-skinny models by her 15-year-old daughter.
She said she was horrified when her daughter sent her a picture of the dummies which are in the Topshop section of the shop, Outfit, in The Old Market Shopping Centre.
Mum-of-four Zoe, 43, shared the images on Facebook and within a few hours it went viral.
She said her daughter was really angry at seeing the skinny mannequins as it gives an unrealistic body image for her and her friends.
Zoe said: "I went into Topshop and complained and went back the next day and all they’ve done is change the tops on the mannequins.
"What makes it even worse is that the company promised to get rid of these mannequins after the furore a few years ago but there they are being used again."
The high street chain promised to remove the skinny dummies after shoppers expressed outrage in 2015.
Her post has already been shared almost 5,000 times on Facebook by outraged parents who are demanding the company replace the mannequins immediately.
Mum Victoria Pelham, 43, from Hereford, said: "This is absolutely disgusting, how dare they advertise such a warped view of what young girls should look like.
"It is really repulsive. Even the way they are standing with their feet all pigeon-toed makes them look like famine victims.
"My youngest girl is always looking in the mirror. I think stores like Topshop have a responsibility to promote a healthy body image.
"If I actually saw a girl the same size as those models I'd contact social services."
