SPORTS kit will be taken out to Uganda this summer by students from Ross-on-Wye.

The students and staff from John Kyrle High School will be visiting Kisiki College in Uganda this summer and will be taking the kits donated by Ross Juniors Football Club.

Headteacher, Nigel Griffiths said that John Kyrle was delighted to be continually associated with Ross Juniors and impressed with these gifts to the partner schools in Namutumba.

Ross Juniors now has 450 members from the age of three-years-old.

The club was the first to use the school’s all-weather pitch in 2006 and now hires the facility on a regular basis.

Assistant head of sixth form, Bethan Lambourn, who is leading the 2017 Uganda trip added that the students at Kisiki College are ‘football mad’ and that the kit and equipment will be much appreciated.
