A 49-YEAR-old man who was caught driving while disqualified has been given a curfew.
Gavin Shuck Rifle Range Estate in Kidderminster pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving on a road without wearing a seatbelt and driving without insurance.
Herefordshire Magistrates Court heard that on February 11 just after 11.25am he was stopped on the A49 Leominster bypass after officers noticed he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Police then discovered he was also disqualified from driving until January 2018.
The court heard a friend had been helping him move furniture but his friend's van broke down. Shuck then made sure the van was fixed and needed to get the van back to his friend, because he had lost two days work.
Magistrates gave him a three month community order, which included a curfew that he is not allowed out of the house between 9pm and 7am. He was disqualified from driving for a further 15 months, which adds on another nine months to his current disqualification. He was ordered to pay £135 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
