CHORISTERS from Hereford Cathedral met Prince Charles after singing in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace.
The Prince of Wales hosted a gala evening at the palace which marked his long association with the cathedral.
He first visited Hereford Cathedral in the 80s and subsequently became involved with the Perpetual Trust, of which he has been patron since 2004.
The evening included a concert by the cathedral's choir, Hereford Choral Society, guest soloist Bo?idar Smiljani? and the English Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Hereford Cathedral’s director of music Geraint Bowen.
The Dean of Hereford Michael Tavinor said: "It was a wonderful evening of celebration and was an opportunity to bring together friends from around the world who care about Hereford Cathedral and who have supported us.
"Guests travelled from as far away as Texas, Tokyo and Melbourne. The concert highlighted the quality and range of our music and liturgy, along with the regard in which the cathedral is held, nationally and internationally."
The evening drew together many of Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust’s international donors and supporters, along with representatives of its key trusts and foundations, who have supported the cathedral extensively over the past 20 years.
The Prince met guests, along with members of the cathedral choir, choral society and orchestra.
