Pop star Ellie Goulding has added her voice to a campaign to help Hereford's homeless.
The singer may be based many miles from the village of Lyonshall where she grew up but this week proved she still has her home county at heart.
An appeal by the Hereford Homeless Winter Support Group sought to raise £500 for the least fortunate in our society during the harsh winter weather.
They have been distributing warm clothing, hot water bottles and other basic survival resources to the homeless and stepped up their efforts with an internet appeal.
And Ellie Goulding, who has previously challenged those who stigmatise the homeless to change their views, put her hand in her pocket to pledge £2,000 to the cause.
"Keep up the incredible work," Ellie told the group on its appeal page.
"Sorry I can't be there to help. x"
Ellie's donation pushed the total sum past the £3,200 mark - with many more still donating.
