A CHARITY day with a duck race was a quacking success raising £1656.01 for two local Hereford charities.
Little Hadley Becket (aged five) came first in the race and generously donated the £20 cash prize back to the charities, but held tightly onto the Tyrrells Crisps who had that sponsored the race!
The charity day held on June 2 included favourite events such as a fun dog show, classic cars and bikes, art and crafts and old fashioned games such as splat the rat and a coconut shy.
All proceeds go to Macmillan Renton Unit, Hereford and a local charity ECHO which aims to make a real difference to the lives of disabled people across Herefordshire.
The event was held at Poston Mill Park, owned by Wayne and Sarah Jones in the Golden Valley on the borders of Wales near Hay-on Wye, Ross-on-Wye and Hereford.
