Budding dancers can find out more about a prestigious London dance studio based in Hereford at a free taster day next month.

London Studio Centre's Saturday Associate Programme offers professional tuition in ballet, contemporary and jazz for 14-18 year olds.

The open day gives youngsters the chance to try classes and receive advice from tutors who have professional experience in the industry.

Elizabeth Gibbs, Principal of London Studio Centre West Midlands, said: “We are throwing the doors open to anyone locally who would like to study performing arts as a profession."

She added: “The London Studio Centre is one of the top vocational schools in the country for performing arts.

"Our students on The West Midlands Saturday Associate Programme are on a fast track to employment in the industry and we are excited to offer this chance to those in the West Midlands who would otherwise struggle to get to senior level classes of this calibre.”

Entry onto the programme is by audition only and the taster day gives potential students the chance to take part in four professional classes for free.

The taster day takes place on Saturday, July 7 at the Hereford Academy, Marlbrook Road from 11am to 5pm.
