A GRADE-II listed pub in Leominster is set to reopen its doors this month after undergoing more than two years of refurbishment.
The Chequers, a Wye Valley Brewery pub, will be officially reopened on Saturday, July 14, from midday to 3pm.
The pub includes a newly converted sports bar with a pool table, darts board and three wall-mounted flat-screen TVs.
Peter Amor, Wye Valley Brewery’s founder and chairman, said: "It’s taken a lot longer than we expected, but I’m delighted with the result.
"The beer garden also looks great, and with the addition of the oak-framed gazebo, with lighting and heaters, it’s an outside space that can be enjoyed all-year-round.”
Vernon Amor, Wye Valley Brewery’s managing director, added: "We are excited to welcome customers new and old to the Chequers on July 14 to help us celebrate the reopening of this wonderful pub, which we hope the people of Leominster will enjoy for many years to come."
Landlords Bob and Nina Newman will welcome locals to the opening with live music, family games and complimentary fish and chips.
