A LIFELONG Take That fan had her ‘life made’ when she was serenaded to on stage by her idol Gary Barlow.
Susan Wilde, 46, from Hereford was in the sixth row of the star’s concert at the Birmingham Symphony Hall last month when she was plucked from the audience and invited on stage.
The Take That star then sang their hit ‘A Million Love Songs’ to Susan, before inviting her to sit on his knee.
It was the fourth time Susan had been to his concert on this tour, having been to his Cardiff show and two in London.
The mother of two said of her reaction: “I burst into tears, it made my life.
“He signalled for me to sit on his knee. I had so many different emotions, in tears one minute, in shock the next."
She added: “He said to me, ‘These four minutes are all for you’.”
Susan was aware that Barlow invited audience members on stage during the song, so went to each concert armed with a banner to get herself noticed but never expected to be chosen from the 2,000-strong crowd.
Susan has been a fan for the whole of the band's 26 year career.
She was so bereft when the band split in February 1996, that she decided to propose to her husband the following day.
Susan joked: “I thought if I can’t have Gary I can have my husband.”
The happy couple have been married for 22 years.
