A POPUlAR Leominster pub threw open its doors to the community to celebrate its relaunch.
The Chequers Inn, a Wye Valley Brewery pub, was relaunched on Saturday, July 14, following two years of refurbishments.
The Grade II listed pub has been restored with an improved beer garden thanks to the addition of an oak-framed gazebo, lighting and heaters so the space can be enjoyed all year round.
Guests on the day enjoyed music from local musicians, family games and complimentary fish and chips.
Guy Ingram, bar manager at The Chequers Inn, said: "It went really well, we were busy all day.
"We had a couple of local lads playing acoustic outside in the garden and a lot of people came to see them."
He added: "People were pleased with the refurbishments. We had a lot of good feedback."
The pub also boasts two bars and a newly converted sports bar with a pool table, darts board and three wall-mounted flat-screen TVs.
