MEGAN Baker House has been transformed thanks to the efforts of volunteers from a county law firm.
Staff from Harrison Clark Rickerbys took time out of their weekend to lend a hand to renovate the Leominster based centre on Saturday, August 4.
The volunteers transformed one of the main rooms and the toilet areas to make it a brighter space for the people who use it.
Megan Baker House provides education sessions to children with motor disorders such as cerebral palsy and dyspraxia and to adults with early onset Parkinson's disease or adapting to life following a stroke.
Heidi Cooper, from Harrison Clark Rickerbys, said: "It’s always such a pleasure to do something so worthwhile - it was a great team effort and we are all delighted with the end results. I wish I could be there to see the children’s faces when they come back in September.
“I’d like to thank Joel Ward Davies from Crown Paints in Hereford for kindly donating some of the paint and equipment, Dave Beynon and Dan Lynes, local expert decorators, for giving up their Saturday to help us with this project, Decowall for providing some of the wall art, Zoe from Megan Baker House and all my wonderful colleagues at HCR who helped out on the day.
She added: "All these amazing people meant we achieved a fabulous result.”
A representative from Megan Baker House said: "Saturday’s Megan Baker House makeover by Harrison Clark was terrific. Thank you to everyone involved. We can’t wait for the children to see the newly decorated room and loos. Heartfelt thanks from all at Megan Baker House."
