A Hereford dance class for people with learning disabilities welcomed a very special guest earlier this month.
Natalie Lowe, four-times Australian ballroom dance champion and former Strictly regular, joined the class run by Score Community Opportunities and danced the salsa and cha-cha-cha.
Jonathan, one of the attendees, said: “I loved it, a special guest off the television. She danced the salsa and another dance with us, she is very good at dancing.”
Claire Jackson, manager at Score Community Opportunities, said: “It was really lovely to see our guys have an opportunity like this. They are all fans of dancing and all of them have watched Strictly Come Dancing, so to meet someone from the show in person, let alone dance together, was a super experience for them.”
Based in the centre of Hereford, Score Community Opportunities provides a broad range of community-based activities for people with learning disabilities in and around Hereford. Score is part of national charity Affinity Trust, which supports over 950 people across England and Scotland.
