A CYCLIST has died in a crash on the road between Fownhope and Mordiford.
Emergency services were called to the B4224 to the southeast of Hereford on Friday evening at 7.35pm.
An ambulance, a paramedic officer and two BASICS Emergency Doctors from the Mercian Accident Rescue Scheme were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found an off-duty doctor and nurse tending to the woman cyclist.
“Ambulance staff carried out advanced life support at the scene, but sadly, it was not possible to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There were no other injuries.”
Fire crews from Fownhope and Hereford also attended the crash between the cyclist and a car.
