TWO men who died in a crash on the A40 in Whitchurch have been named.
Herefordshire Coroner's Office said an inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of Thomas Edward Wheeler, aged 34, of Whitchurch, Ross.
And an inquest has also been opened and adjourned into the death of Robert Christopher Boyd, aged 29, of Walford, Ross.
Police said a motorcyclist in his 20s and a pedestrian in his 30s died in the crash on the A40 near the Symonds Yat services at around 8pm last Thursday.
A red Yamaha motorbike was travelling on the A40 southbound when it is understood to have crashed into a pedestrian.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the crash, was in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage of the collision.
Call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 700S of 27 September.
