THERE will be night closures on the M50 from Ross-on-Wye.
Highways England has not specified which nights the closure will be in place.
But a sign at the M50 junction with the Traveller's Rest roundabout said: "M50 (E) is closed from October 9 to December 22 from 8pm to 6am."
The M50 is operating with one lane between junctions 1 and 2 during the day in both directions.
And Highways England said while there will be some overnight closures of the M50, this is not every night.
Highways England structures manager Dave Lynch said: “We’re carrying out work on Bury Court, Pendock Sledge and Queens Arms Bridges to ensure this stretch of the M50 is able to operate safely for all road users.
“Work to install props to the bridges is under way with some overnight closures on the M50, when the road is at its quietest. The bridges will remain open while we review the latest assessments.
“We’re looking to do work in phases and are working closely with local partners as we seek to keep any disruption to a minimum.
“If any of the three bridges need to be closed as part of the works, we will inform the local community as soon as possible.”
Highways England said they will continue to keep people informed as the work progresses and will minimise disruption for motorists.
