WHILE it is true to say that the thrill of seeing fireworks does not last long, for one family at least, the benefits brought about by the displays on Hereford’s Racecourse are still being felt.
Coby Leeves has suffered since birth with Severe Visual Impairment and every day for the two-year-old is a real challenge.
But, thanks to the Round Table team who organise the annual fireworks display, his life has been made a little easier.
Coby’s mum Angharad Leeves got in touch with the Round Table team for help to get Coby a tumbleform seat. The youngster struggles particularly with feeding, and this specialist piece of furniture would be a massive help.
The Round Table team provided funding and a seat was purchased- helping to improve the quality of both Coby and Angharad’s life.
James Arnold, chairman of the Round Table, said: “This is one example of the kind of support we give and we would encourage local people to get in touch and ask us if we can help.
“We are looking forward to this years fireworks display, we are aiming to make it the biggest one we have held yet and hopefully making plenty of money to send back out into the community and support other causes.”
The Hereford Roundtable fireworks display returns for its 42nd outing on November 3 at Hereford Racecouse.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and children under 16 accompanied by an adult go free.
